Shirley I. (Marsh) McCoppin, 95, a lifelong resident of New London, Ohio, passed peacefully from this life to the next on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Laurels of New London. She was born on August 4, 1929, in New London, to the late Louis and Hazel (McFarland) Marsh. Shirley was a 1947 New London High School graduate.
Forever kind, and never extravagant, Shirley was always supportive of her children, and grandchildren's athletic, academic and extracurricular pursuits. She was an avid Cleveland Indians (Guardians) fan, and loved living in New London, Ohio.
Shirley had worked for Miller Brothers, where she was a Dairy Manager, C.E. Ward, and the former Harvey's. Her favorite occupation however was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and from that, she never retired.
She is survived by her children, Thomas E. (Chris) McCoppin of New London, Marsha "Susie" McCoppin-Scheerer of Norwalk, and Lori McCoppin of New London; grandchildren, Tommy (Kaila) McCoppin, Sara (Kyle) Smith
